Video has always had its place in online marketing campaigns (well, for as long as there have been good video sharing capabilities on the web, anyway). Viral videos were a thing even before Facebook became ubiquitous, and before smartphones and tablets were even on the market. However, as time moves on and marketing evolves, video is becoming more and more prominent, with many sites that were previously mostly text articles now including plenty of video, along with other media.
