Quora is a little known social networking site in many circles. However, it’s been a goldmine where traffic is concerned for particular blog niches. Quora is popular among so-called Geeks and Nerds because it’s a question and answer based site. Tech masters, start-ups and freelance writers (for instance) do well on the site and have recorded significant traffic influx from Quora.

Google is forever changing their algorithms. Whenever Google does its shake-up, bloggers can suddenly see a massive drop in traffic. This affects thousands of bloggers, even those who have genuinely helpful sites. This is why finding sites like Quora, which can potentially send you thousands of views per month, is a marvellous thing. Here are some reasons why Quora is a great source for blog traffic.

This is why it’s important to answer questions to the best of your abilities. People are interested in those who can help and those who obviously know what they’re talking about. Great answers are rewarded with clicks to your profile. As long as your profile is filled out properly with your links, this will lead to traffic to your site. Apart from traffic, people active on Quora have also been known to get jobs, based on their activities on the site.

Use credits to promote your answers

When you answer questions on Quora you win Quora credits. You can use these to do many things, But the most important aspect of gaining credits, is the fact that you can use them to promote your answers and boards. Boards, like on Pinterest, are separate groups of articles, posts and links, based on your interests. I have created boards related to my blog niches – one board for each blog. Whenever I win credits I use them to promote my answers to questions asked – but more importantly, I use my credits to promote my boards. My boards have links to my individual blog posts within a specific niche. I can choose how many people I want to promote the board/answer to, based on how many credits I wish to spend.
