So today in this article I am going to explain steps for breaking a BIOS Password or Reseting a BIOS password of laptop.
Sometimes your laptop locked out of an old computer by a forgotten BIOS password? Dont worry...There's no need to get frustrated. because it is easy to bypass this safeguard. The BIOS password is the first password that comes up when a computer is turned on. A user can set a BIOS password in system set up. Once it's set, it's impossible to get to the operating system without entering the password. Forgetting a BIOS password or inheriting a computer from a user who set a password is frustrating. Use the methods below to break the BIOS password.
How to Break a BIOS Password | Reset a BIOS Password In Laptop
Remember that laptops can be trickier, especially if it's a newer model. If it has a security chip on the motherboard forget about it. You either have to physically remove the chip or contact the mfg for the "master" password. If you can boot up off of a cd or floppy try any of these methods:
Step 1: First create a Win98SE bootable CD or do anything that lets you boot into MS-DOS like using pendrive etc and boot off of it.
Step 2: When the A:\> prompt appears on the screen type debug and press enter. After that you will then only see a "-".
Step 3: Now type o 70 2E "include the spaces" and press Enter.
Step 4: After Enter again type o 71 ff "include the spaces" and press Enter.
Step 5: Now type q and press Enter.
Step 6: Bellow are a list of common mfg backdoor passwords:
- AWARD BIOS
- AWARD SW, J64, j256, j262, j332, j322, 01322222, 589589, 589721, 595595, 598598, AWARD_SW, Award SW, AWARD PW, _award, awkward, HLT, SER, aPAf, HLT, KDD, ZBAAACA, ZAAADA, ZJAAADC, SKY_FOX, aLLy, aLLY, Condo, CONCAT, TTPTHA, djonet, %øåñòü ïpîáåëîâ%, %äåâÿòü ïpîáåëîâ%
- AMI BIOS
- AMI_SW, BIOS, PASSWORD, AMI, A.M.I., AMI SW, HEWITT RAND, Oder
